Barry Adams speaks to Optimist Club
Barry Adams, a reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal, was the guest speaker at the February 14th Optimist meeting. Adams stated the job of a good reporter is to be inquisitive and ask questions. Adams has worked at the Wisconsin State Journal for 17 years and as a journalist for 34. He is best known for his articles about exploring Wisconsin but also works on the daily business section. Some interesting facts he shared were that 75% of the newspaper's profit comes from the print news. Most income comes from the advertising in the Sunday paper. He stated the newspaper industry is changing because of online content.
