Lindsey Geise speaks to Optimist Club
Lindsey Giese, River Arts Inc. Executive Director, was the featured speaker at the Optimist Club on May 3. She covered a lot of territory including the upcoming 2018-19 series held at the River Arts Center, what is happening at both the River Arts Center Gallery and the River Arts on Water Gallery including upcoming receptions, the monthly concerts and the many art classes (for all ages) at the Water Street Gallery, the Saturday Coffee and Coloring get-togethers once per month and the amenities that River Arts Inc. is spearheading for the Great Sauk Trail. Giese also talked about the Garden Thyme garden tour in June, a Festival of Artists coming soon and more. RAI is in charge of 17 mile and half mile markers, two donor plaques, 16 benches, nine interpretative signs and two bike repair stations. In addition, they are leading the installation of three major art pieces- a large interactive sun dial, an eagle sculpture and a family-themed sculpture grouping along the trail.
