Prelimary Contest: Scheduled Earlier in April. Award will be presented at the May 5, 2018 conference.
Eligibility: Contestants up through the 12th grade. Students who are certified to have a hearing loss of 40 decibels or more may compete in this contest designed to help them develop the skills and confidence to present in sign or orally to an audience.
Sponsorship: The students are sponsored by a SWIS Club. The CCDHH Contest scholarship is sponsored by the Optimist International Foundation. (If your club is aware of a student who would qualify and/or would like to sponsor a student, please contact the SWIS District Chair).
Requirements: Speech is limited to 4-5 minutes.
